Meet Our Veterinary Surgeon

With over 21 years of surgical experience, Dr. Vanessa Ferraz brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and compassion to every case. A graduate of veterinary school in Brazil (2005), Dr. Ferraz also holds a Master’s and PhD in Small Animal Surgery and has authored over 25 published papers and textbook chapters in the field. Her career has spanned continents, from leading her own practice and teaching at the university level in Brazil to performing small animal and exotic surgery across Tennessee and the Southeast.

Now based in Knoxville, she provides mobile surgical services to general practices across the region, including orthopedic, soft tissue, and exotic procedures. Her background in research and teaching continues to shape her collaborative, educational approach to veterinary partnerships.
