Becca
Veterinary Technician
Becca is a proud Knoxville native who always felt that her calling in life involved helping and healing animals. After witnessing an emergency C-section as a kennel tech more than 15 years ago, she immediately knew that veterinary medicine was where she was meant to be. From there, she worked hard throughout the years while also raising a family and eventually became the Lead Technician at a busy multi-doctor practice in Maryville, TN.
She learned very early on that surgery and emergency response interested her the most, but it wasn’t until she met Dr. Ferraz in 2022 that she discovered her passion for radiology and orthopedic surgery. Becca’s pride and joy in life is her adult son, who is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee, and an avid fisherman in his spare time, while her ‘better half’ is an entrepreneurial rockstar who owns and operates multiple businesses in the Knoxville area.
She considers herself blessed to have loved a wide range of creatures over the years, but after losing her 4-legged soulmate, Lexi-Lou, she decided to turn what some may call “empty nest syndrome” into a next-level change of professional scenery. That’s when she teamed up with Dr. Ferraz and she now looks forward to each and every day as a traveling surgical technician.
Outside of work, you can find Becca cheering on her favorite teams, writing dark-humored short stories, painting anything and everything, and spending lots of time outside—especially sunny days on the lake.
